To create this card we used the following:     White Linen, 5 ½” x 4 ¼” Fold Over Card with Envelope     Large Hummingbird Template     Medium Dot and Heart Border Template     Rudy Red Chalk     Dark Green Chalk     Dark Brown Chalk     Yellow Chalk     Small Align-a-Card
Center oval of Hummingbird template on card (using an align-a-card will make it easier). Trace around the oval of the template to make the oval frame around the Hummingbird. Trace the hummingbird and flower. Place the dot template parallel to a line on the align-a-card to keep the template straight. Use a different line on the align-a-card to make sure your stationary is lined up with the template. Swivel or push the medium end of the tool into each dot of the Dot and Heart Border template. Do not trace the hearts. To extend the pattern down the card, place the top row of dots on the card over the bottom row you already completed. Continue until you get to the bottom edge of your card. Use the same technique to move across the card. Be careful not to put dots within the oval frame containing the hummingbird. Be sure to have good lighting so you can see where you have embossed your paper. Shade the flowers and the hummingbird with chalk as shown. Use a black pen to add a dot for the hummingbird’s eye. You can use these same techniques to make a matching envelope.
